I’m obsessed with light painting and night photography in general. One of my favorite photographers, Jeff Newsom, melts my brain every time he light paints orbs. I could not understand how he did it so I googled it and found out that this is actually a really popular thing to do (but I still think Newsom is hands down the best at it!) I watched a video on the general concept of how to do it and I freaked. The concept is simple! So last night Mark and I spent about 15 minutes testing it out, and though we have tons of practice to do, I’m pretty stoked about these two images. Mark painted both of these in our living room.

Next, we’ll head outside, so stay tuned as we attempt to master the orb and make super awesome nightography!
