One time one of my best friends Caroline Tigner (Tig) went to Haiti on a mission trip with the Austin Stone. When she was there, she worked with Real Hope for Haiti. And God filled her heart with a passion for the people of Haiti. She came home and wanted to go back, so she went back. She spent July and August this year working in the rescue center and clinic, loving on orphans, loving on people in need, loving extravagantly through simpleness. Because of her time there, her stories, and of course, her photos, God filled my heart with desire to further what Real Hope for Haiti is doing.

With Mark and I having such combating schedules, we have not found time to be hands on in this country like we desire to one day. But we’ve found a calling to still be a part of it through giving, something we believe that the BIble calls us do with bold letters and lots of exclamation points. So with joyful and humble hearts, we have written some checks, and though I know money is needed to make change, I wanted to get more creative with my resources. And so did Tig.

So we put our brains together and we figured out that we could use her experiences, my talents as an artist, and our deep desire to see God’s Kingdom come in Haiti for this incredible project. Oh, and we’d use some beautiful photos

A few months ago Tig sent me a disk with all her favorite photos she took while in Haiti for me to post process. I was honored to do it and spent a day pouring my heart in Photoshop with tears in my eyes at every child’s face that stared back at me.
