If you’re a past client of mine, there is an email in your inbox about this. But if you’re a friend of a past client, a family member, or a guest at a wedding, this blog is for you!

You’ve probably seen the post below about GIFT HAITI. We’ve received a great amount of orders today and Caroline and I are very thankful! But I felt like I could do more by extending the “Buy a Photo, Gift Haiti” to my clients and everyone they know!

For the rest of this month, 100% of the profits from prints ordered by my clients, their families, and their guests (if I shot your wedding) will be given to Real Hope for Haiti to help purchase supplies such as formula, food, diesel fuel for generators, water, and medical supplies.

The day after Mark rocked and rolled the Vagnsnes wedding PARTYBOOTH, he rocked and rolled it all over again at Isaac and Cristina’s wedding!

I’m not quite sure what’s going on here…

Vangsnes Wedding :: PARTYBOOTH

Mark rocked and rolled the PARTYBOOTH at Evan and Rachel’s wedding! When I blog their wedding day, you’ll see all the fun details of their shark and mustache themed wedding (you heard me), so keep that theme in mind when you’re enjoying my favorite shots from the booth.

During Rachel’s bridal session, we took some photos of her so they could make a cut out! Such a fun idea that leads me to my favorite PARTYBOOTH photo of the night…

It was pretty fun to watch people drag this huge statue to the booth…

In other news, Mark and I pulled into our driveway this morning at about 4:00 AM! We were sad to leave Texas but so happy that Mark’s parents, brother Michael, and fiance Taylor will be coming Tuesday evening! I LOVE my in laws so much and am getting pumped to host them for once. I hope everyone had as blessed of a Christmas as we did. I cannot understand all the goodness we experienced and am grateful beyond expression.

what’s the partybooth?

I sort of borrowed the name CRAZYBOOTH from the image is found. I bought their CRAZYBOOTH manual which is the best thing if you’re a photographer looking to set up ‘booths’ like this at receptions – save yourself hours and hours of testing and just buy their manual! The CRAZYBOOTH is what they call this super contraption, and I couldn’t think of anything better and wanted to set it up right away so I borrowed the name. Out of respect for them, because gosh, I think the world of their work, I’ve been trying to come up with another name. For a while I thought I’d just keep CRAZYBOOTH because if you Google it, you’ll find jumbles of photographers who call it that…but something in me just still felt like I was sort of stealing the name. So, I’ve decided to just call it what it is…a PARTYBOOTH! Because it can be set up at any party. You can still bring the crazy. Bring the party. Party it up. Whatever.

By no means do I think I’m the only photographer that has called this a PARTYBOOTH. Actually, if you Google that, you’ll come across a lot of companies that call their traditional photo booths PARTYBOOTH. But I think this set up has way more to offer, has much more party going on. So anyways. Are we clear now? The PARTYBOOTH is my new name for the CRAZYBOOTH. Don’t be so confused. Let’s just get to the photos.

You might remember a few weeks ago I went to Buena Vista’s Young Life club to snap some fun shots. Well I got invited back to bring more fun! This time we set up in the garage so that more kids would realize there was something happening that they should definitely be a part of. I might as well preface this by saying that this part of the garage also functions as the prop closet for BV Young Life, so there was a lot of propping going on.

Leslie threw a wrinkled sheet up on the only blank wall in the space and we worked with it. I really wish it was possible to carry around my amazing 9 foot roll of paper, and after I go through Houston in a week, I’ll be able to! That’s just how the PARTYBOOTH rocks…just go with the flow, baby.

Thanks BV Young Life for having me take over your space with my huge umbrella and bright flashing strobe. You guys rock!
