Technically, my first Holga prints are sitting in Denver Pro Photo, eagerly waiting to be found and mailed to me. This is the second roll of film I shot with my Holga. For those who don’t know, the Holga is literally a toy camera made in China that produces photos with tons of light leaks, blur, and other distortions (simply because of it’s cheap construction). It was created in 1982 to provide a cheap mass-market camera for the Chinese working class. It’s recently seen a revival in the toy camera world and I love going back to the absolute basics. I love how pure it is. A plastic lens. Four “settings.” Over-saturated colors and, what has made people love Lomography, “happy accidents.” Here are some of my favorite prints from roll #2. I’ve been using it a lot more and hope to get roll #3 back soon. It was basically the only thing I took photos with while in Tennessee all weekend!
